Influenster #MKGLAM Voxbox !

I LOVE getting new products to try, so easy it can turn a bad day to a good one!! So of course super excited to get my Mary Kay MKglam voxbox compliments of Influenster. I expected only a couple things in the box to try but I was pleasantly surprised with how many products were in the box! So here is the run down!

Mary Kay Lash Love Mascara: I love trying new mascaras and am pretty picky with how my eye lashes look with make up on. This mascara wasn't thick and clumpy at all, it was perfect! You look natural and yet gives you a boost with tons of volume, hubs asked if I was wearing falsies! I have to say I love this mascara more then the last mascara trial I had!

Mary Kay Cream Eye Color Apricot Twist: I was nervous there would be colors in the box that don't go with my skin tone but this color is perfection! It didn't crease, it felt like it moisturized my lids. It gave my eyes a soft glow especially with the black mascara contrast. It doesn't make you look over done it was a very natural glow.

Mary Kay Mineral Cheek Color Shy Blush: OK this I was negative about before even trying because I am super pale! Blush makes me look like a doll and even when I have tried to use very little I feel like I look ridiculous! So I tried this blush and blended it a lot and with little product with the brushes they provided and I actually feel like I looked normal! Score!

Mary Kay Translucent Loose Powder: I already use a "finishing" powder in my normal routine so I was super excited to try a new brand because my current brand dries my skin out. It was a very pale powder so that is awesome because sometimes even "translucent" powders are too pink for my skin. This powder helped me control me oily skin for longer then my normal powder and was super light and didn't clump or crease!

Mary Kay Gel Eyeliner with Expandable Brush Applicator: I recently swore off eyeliner because I swear it takes me just as long to get my stupid eyeliner right as it does to put make up on my entire face! But the applicator brush intrigued me so I said "what the heck!" So I tried it out and it went on smoother and more even then my liquid eyeliner I was using, so it took less time to get the look I wanted! I didn't have to use 10 Q-tips to fix my mistakes, it was really easy and I really loved how to looked with the black mascara and apricot eye cream color!

Mary Kay Bronzing Powder: My views on blush are the same for bronzing powder but I have lately been contemplating purchasing some bronzer to give my face more contour. I was most excited to try this product out of all of them! Of course it was the first time trying a bronzing powder so it took a few tries to not look like I had war paint on, but once I got it right and blended it well, It made me look like I had a healthy sunkissed glow and not fake or Orange even with my pale skin! So happy!

Mary Kay Nourishine Plus Lip Gloss Mango Tango: I haven't used lip gloss since high school so I was kinda "ehh" about this product. Again with my pale skin and already natural glow I have going on I didn't want to have clown lips. So I tried it out and wasn't too keen on the color I would have liked a softer pink hue. But it was a good consistency gloss just didn't go too well with my look and skin.

Mary Kay Cream Eye Color / Concealer Brush: The brushes rock!!! All of them are good quality I didn't have one brush hair come off and land on my face during application. Such a pet peeve of mine is getting my makeup done and then having to peel brush hairs off! So definitely using these brushes everyday!

Overall SUPER impressed and happy with this awesome vox box! #MKglam #Influenster #Marykay @Influenstervox @marykay @influenster, LOVE it!! Am a fan now for sure!

Absent April

Ok I am lagging on posting on here. I get superstitious about it sometimes, If I want to post a positive post like everything is going awesome I feel like I am shooting myself in the foot and asking for shit to hit the fan. Well April flew by...wtf! Donated 10 trees in my moms name on the 21st. On Earth Day Eric and I recycled plastic bags to get reusable ones from the Disney Store. We went and saw Disney Nature's BEARS movie in the first week of opening so they would donate to help save bears. I did a TCA peel on my face which always ends up me hiding in the house for a week which sucks!! Then after I look no different....fun. Eric has been getting a ton of inquires from new bands looking to hire a drummer for shows. The last time he worked with a new band it went well until the show, he had sound proof head phones one (by request of the band) and it just didn't mesh well, they were all off timing and then they had backing tracks, dumb. So I think that shot down his ego a bit for a while. He had two new bands he rehearsed with last week and both LOVED him so I think he has been standing a bit taller lately :) Its good to see him so excited. He is an amazing drummer he just needed a reminder I guess :).

As for me I have been working tons on my clients, summer if busy time in the music industry so by the end of the day my eyes are dry and can't handle staring at the laptop screen anymore. But happy to have work of course! I met a new friend (which never fucking happens) her name is Rachelle we  have a ridiculous amount of things in common and she is hilarious!! An old friend of mine had a recent family suicide and I was shocked by the news but also felt nothing, not sad, or stressed about the death. I was worried for my friend who had to deal with the chaos and storm that follows. We had a nice conversation on the phone and I made her laugh a few times pretty hard so I felt like I helped in a way. Suicide is selfish and such a shitty thing to do to people. Death sucks all around and it's hard to know what the right move is to make. All I know is if someone decides life isn't worth living and takes their life. The people left behind are changed forever and forced to stop living and deal with your problem...even though you ditched out. The sun is always shining we just lose sight of it sometimes, taking your life is never the answer.

So with all that April seems to have flown by and yet a lot seems to have happened. I definitely don't want May to come but at this point in my life (crossing me fingers I don't jinx myself) I feel lucky. I feel so lucky to have a best friend / husband who is there for me and truly wants me to be happy. I have never seen anyone (other then my mom) who would do ANYTHING to make me happy. I have a life I never thought possible, one where I have moments of peace & clarity. Crazy!
